Description
I have no idea where the shaving brush came from!
The other is a potters' brush for slips and glazes.

Just realised what you mean by potters brushes
A simple, yet rich & elegant, still life...
one of your former tenants, maybe?
Haven't seen one of those since my grandfather died. The brushes in the other image look like they could also be used for watercolor washes.
Simple and beautiful.
A still life of great beauty. Love the unexpected paring of the brushes!!
nice still life
Perhaps you got it for shaving clay off one of your sculptures.
I loved this as soon as it went up. I love old shaving supplies. They can be beautiful. (And men's razors are now the triple-tiered ones: It's hard to find the old single blade razors, which you adjust by hand, etc. Today, they can sell for as much as 200 pounds!) Full size, this is a beauty. Sumptuous. The potter's brush is a fine foil to the shaving brush, much brighter and the hairs much broader...and you positioned the brand name just right, with just the right lighting and background. A beautiful shot.
