Creation Date: April 27, 2016 The idea for this artwork came to me when I saw a photo of Marlyn Monroe and decided to try to create a similar artwork but with a modern actress. I chose to model the my starlet after Scarlett Johansson because I think she's the most glamorous actress in the current Hollywood spectrum. She's also one of my favorite actresses. It has been a long time since I created any portrait style renders so this was a great opportunity to correct that. I spent quite a lot of time tweaking each of the details until I got it to look of every element "just right". I'm quite happy with the way it has turned out even though it took nearly two weeks to complete. Most of my artworks in the past several years have been rectangular (all with a 5:4 ratio) but starting this year, I'm changing that. Now, while I'll still be rendering scenes with standard print sizes in mind, I will use a canvas size and ratio that best suits the artwork.
