Description

All that glitters is not gold, as everybody knows, but there's more to the Versailles Palace and Estate than the gold leafing your eyes may meet as you're queuing up to start your visit. Whether you're ambling through the huge and fabulous rooms of the palace or taking a walk through the Gardens to the Trianons or to the Queen's Hamlet set among old and wonderful trees, Versailles is really a must. Versailles est la ville où j'ai passé toute mon adolescence... Une visite du château me rappellera quelques souvenirs du temps passé avec des copains dans le parc... loin des touristes! ;-) Superbe travail de ferronnerie et excellente photo, Jean-Luc!

Ah ! Versailles ! Quelle beauté ! Et dire qu'il m'a fallu attendre très longtemps avant de pouvoir visiter ce château magnifique. Tu me donnes envie de replonger le nez dans mes albums photos de vacances :-) Je vois que ta longue absence de Rendo n'a rien enlevé à ton œil acéré de photographe et c'est tant mieux pour nous ! Merci de partager avec nous cette œuvre d'art si joliment capturée. Je vois que tu n'as pas manqué de soleil à Paris :-)

La grille a été redorée récemment à la feuille d'or, je pense, elle est le témoin de la magnificence des temps passés, du moins pour la noblesse, néanmoins, la visite du château et des jardins reste incontournable........superbe photo, Jean-Luc !

Le Républicain convaincu que je suis est toujours un peu reluctant devant les "ors de la République"...mais tu me diras que Versailles, ce n'est pas la République ! Exact ! et que c'est tellement beau, comme ta superbe photo le prouve, que l'on ne peut qu'admirer.

A beautiful gate and a fantastic capture of it Jean-Luc! Maybe I should make a point one of these years to visit it, because I have heard about this palace ever since I went to school in Germany!
