Description
Modeled and rendered entirely in LightWave. Several learning experiments... my first organic models, my first attempt at character rigging, my first use of toon style renders (super celshader), motion blurring, digital confusion... and whatever else I could figure out to throw at it.
This was meant as an entry to the LW Forum "Super Bill" monthly challenge (the pathetic pseudo-hero). Here we have Bill confronting the neighborhood menace, Gorthaur, the junkyard dawg. Obviously, our pseudo-hero has once again bitten off more than he can chew. I'm running out of time to finish modeling the dog, "Gorthaur", and the costume accessories for "Bill". So the dog's legs are wooden stumps. It was fun doing.

Great job showing the action and fear on the man's face with the sign, otherwise it probably would have looked like it was his dog coming to greet him.
Is that the Sindarin name of Sauron?
Yes... TheNoddingBoy, I thought it would be cute to name the dog after Sauron as he was known in the First Age. :o)
