My name is Sapphire tor Kithmar. I am not telling you my real name. I don’t care what they say. I will never let my parents find me. I ran away because they were horrible people. Kith found me and took me in so he sort of became my dad. Kith’s always helping runaways. He’ll help them find a place to stay or a job or even healing if they need it and keep them from being sent back home. Rumors have it that he may have bribed a few of the city guard to look the other way when a runaway is found. He’s helped some get back home when they want it and worked with the parents to help improve things so they child won’t run again. He wouldn’t do that with my folks though, if he found them. He’d skin them. I help him with the kids. Sometimes they won’t trust an adult or a man or someone who isn’t human. So then I step in. Most kids will trust another kid. They can tell I’m not a guard or a pervert. I also help with making money to pay for all this. I have shall we say special skills for doing this. That’s how I became friends with Princess Ann, though she didn’t tell me who she was at the time. I was performing a task for a client and we ran into each other. It turned out she was a run away too and she needed our help more than anyone. The three of us became like family.
