Very cute. Love all the plants and greenery juxtaposed with that skyline. I really like the expressions, too. What isn't working for me at all is the placement of the animals. The dog is just underfoot to the extent that it looks like the ladder is coming up out of him. And the cat is too hidden by the plants. Have you considered having the animals interact, as well? That would give us a double connection to the story in this scene. Just something to think about. The lighting on the blond guy's face is a little dark. I know the light source is primarily coming from behind (love that golden tan on his shoulders), but in a posed photo, a photographer would use a bounce or reflector to put some more light on that guy's face so we could see his dreamy eyes better. Anyway, you know how I am -- I live to nitpick. love the emotion and the scene. Thanks for posting.
