Description
Another shot from Tussing Park. There are several logs in the pond there & you can always count on spotting a few turtles sunning themselves on any bright, warm day. I took this from a small pedestrian bridge that crosses the pond at full zoom (60x) - slow moving animals like this on a bright day are the perfect subjects for this zoom lens - faster critters & low light are much more challenging to capture...

Ah, splendid colors, contrasts, lighting, textures and composition of the handsome slider reptile, as it straddles the log while absorbing the heat of the sun to warm its reptilian cold blood.
