a very red, burning image. It looks like the aftermath of a terrible war. I can't tell if the birds on the tree have been killed, or if they're stalking prey. Either way, they're very powerful. The two dragons---on either end---have fierce red details. And the two elves seem to be eyeing something just out of the picture, which is in grave danger, or which is dangerous for them to approach. Their faces are filled with apprehension, yet resolve. And the blood at the ends of their spears tells us they've been battling; as does the soot all over their bodies. A fine evocation of battle and danger, and bravery.
