What a really great idea - now don't I wish I could do that!
It's like he's portraying stillness in his posture...that, though the martial arts are about swift pre-thought action, the core of them is a meditative stillness. He's got his hands in a worship position, he's upside down (indicating turning the universe on its head), his mouth is covered which I assume indicates silence, you have a big lotus blossom in the water (I think 2, but one is covered by his hat), and he's doing all this inside what looks like an ancient temple opening, over a stone walkway that has been broken into by weeds and flowers (the natural result of time). It conveys tranquility. And I like the pots on top of the large rope or cord he's suspended from. Very finely done.
