OK - here's a little teaser for things to come..... G4 has sworn me to secrecy, so that's all yer gonna get outta me! LOL
I've been messing with some new techniques and ideas that will soon be making their way into the T.N.A. story - and some related fun things.
I downloaded a really excellent plugin for Photoshop called NIK Filters. They're from Google, and you can't beat the price - free! I learned about them from one of Aaron Nace's tutorials over at Phlearn.com. You can check it out at: https://phlearn.com/intro-nik-filters-photoshop
I used the filters to make a B&W version of this render with G4. I really like the look of these filters - you have tons of control over the images.
Anyway, G4 and I hope you like her little pinup, and we'll be getting back into action with the story very soon!

I love those filters, I use them a lot, you'll have a lot of fun with them. Now to start the slow catchup on everything I missed over the last month lol.
Can you believe I made it all the way to this point, and I have one more pic to go? It's over 95 minutes now, and I have to leave with 2 pics left to go, to get me to the present. (I already commented on your Steve dedi.) I chose this one only because it's black and white, and you don't post a lot of black and white renders, so I really wanted to comment on it. I'll get to the one before this, next time. I promise.
You got a real pinup feel in this. And the kind of lighting common to 40s photographs. Wonderful sultry lighting, and her pose is right out of a magazine. The lighting is studio all the way, but it's finessed into something from a film noir classic. And the texture of her skin is wonderfully smooth, almost ceramic in feel. And you've made her hair strands very tactile and thick---great job. Good use of the background, and fine angle to the shot, too. Terrific job, Rod, it shows your background in photography and studio work. (Her expression is pure pinup too.) Really fine work! I'll be back for the missing image soon, I promise. This is a great image to end with!
