Wow! Makes me think at the fortresses in Moderan (Love fantasy and Classic Sci Fi) Thank you for sharing the parameters.
Names like "Octalicious" always give a connotation of great sensuality. (reminding us of "delicious") When I first saw this I thought of a huge sitting buddha. It's like a creature with all limbs at rest. Your metallic green-blues are marvelous and introspective. The deep shadows are marvelous. The "halo" around the edges---the glow which you get along the edges of this big magnificent blob---is wonderful. The light on the spherical shapes is subtle and jewel-like. And your massing is wonderful too, with a sweet balance between open surface and busy segments. The two "openings" (in the center) suggest private chambers, or temples in the mythic world. And the background suggests a big looming hall. It's just terrific, Mandi. I'll take 6. I'd love to put this in my living room. (It is 3 dimensional, right? A big metal sculpture you just photographed the night before? Must weigh a ton!) Wonderful.
