Description
I found a cool B movie poster today and there was a great rocket in it so I built a Carrara version of it. I thought it came out fairly cool so I rendered it into something to share it. Normally, I would spend more time building a scene a little more interesting but, I'm going to be away from my computer for a couple of weeks and I wanted to post it.
Enjoy!

This is absolutely outstanding! You really nailed the look of those wonderful old posters.
I just LOVE those old b-movie rockets - they still look so futuristic and sleek. I actually built a rocket similar to the one in the foreground when I was in high school. I'd stick an Estes 'D' engine in the thing, and it would go clean out of sight - one of the best flying rockets I had. It flew so well, it went up on it's 5th flight, and I never saw it again.... :-P I keep waiting for those guys on the space station to see it floating by... LOL
Hey RodS! Great story! I loved model rockets when I was a kid. Your comment is greatly appreciated!

It was fun to make albeit kind of in a rush. This genre of artwork though is a serious favorite of mine.
