Description

It happen to me to think sometimes to all the people that I should be able to know, but I can no longer meet. How many experiences and how much richness of human feelings irretrievably lost and torn from life. I should like to do something more of good for them, and I want to dedicate at all this image.

I see my sister in this, happy, sad and lost. But the only real loss, I believe, is to the living for we are the one's trying to survive. Stunning work as it makes me feel when I try not too... but sometimes you cannot help it. Thank you for such a lovely gift.

You continue to explore the depths of the human soul...and you explore those depths with extraordinary images. Your images are very visceral/viscerale, and very real: The human beings in your images are as real as the people I see every day. And yet...they are also fantasies, dreams, surrealistic visions...they are clearly from the depths of your imagination. And so your art is both realistic, but wholly surrealistic: Your art is both. Also, your art comes from the center of Intuition, the "heart of intuition". You allow your images to come from the very center of your intuition, purely, wholly, unaltered (so to speak/cosi' per dire/tanto per dire/giusto per dire...). Therefore, when we see your work, we feel like we're seeing the center of our OWN intuition. Your images communicate deeply and immediately. And yet they're mysterious...

The people on the top of your image are a representation of the human race---from today, and from ancient times. The man on the far right could be from Ancient Greece or Rome. You have some people, here, who seem to be seeking something. And some people are in pain. Perhaps they're refugees from countless wars and devastations/devastazioni throughout history. Some of the people, above, are old; some are young. And you made men, women and children. You rendered them in plaster or stucco; with many areas of peach-gold hues---the stone ]isn't just "aged," it has a patina, a special "aura". Like memory, it shines...

On the bottom, you have a ledge with a skull. And the skull has patterns across it. The patterns look like genomes (genoma), like the molecular codes for life. They also look like circuits on a computer motherboard (*scheda madre")---computer circuitry. Or they look like carvings from an ancient tribe. Further, the skull seems to be made of a dark marble; or of a dark volcanic stone. Something from Pompeii, perhaps...You are reaching back to all ages of history...

On the other side, you have those amazing apples and flowers: A green apple and a red apple---they look like life, the immediate "now" of life. And they remind me of Magritte. They're beautiful, and they look like an offering, a love offering. The flowers look like that too. Perhaps those are your offerings to all those people, above. Here's a small tale from the ancient rabbis: "One day Moses was leading his people in the desert. Moses turned around. He saw countless people behind him---people were following him, from the end of the horizon; it was a multitude (moltitudine). So Moses asked God: 'Who ARE these people???' And God said: 'They are all the slaves and sick people and imprisoned people of history...' And Moses said: 'What should I DO with them?' And God said: 'TAKE them. Take them with you. I have chosen you to help all the people of the world..."

It's just a fairy tale, but it's very powerful. Your image reminds me of that: Reaching out to the people of the world, and offering them life. A beautiful vision, and you articulated it beautifully.
