Great shot with shadows and all :-)
Very very cool !!
Many levels of transparency in those shadows. I hate that people just throw their trash around like that, but you made a real silk purse from this sow's ear!
god, another piece I thought I'd commented on...Well this is what Switzart was talking about. And I agree with Helle and Denise. (And Giuliano too.) Great reflections on these bags---they almost look like chimeras or ghosts. And of course they're part of your objects-on-sidewalks series, from early morning. (The light is definitely from that time.) Your sidewalk here is doing a "leopard" imitation---either that or it has a bad case of the measles; but it makes a great addition to this pattern and texture image. And the shadow---as we've seen in your reading glasses series, among others---is filled with those elusive lights that happen when sunlight pours through transparent materials. A beautiful of a shot. And those big saturated red bands on the bags make for really striking contrasts. As for Denise's comment about people throwing around refuse, the one up side is that it allowed you to create a terrific image. (And some sow is gonna read her comment and write, "you got somethin' against my ears, lady???" That's a real midwestern phrase, btw---really funny to hear it from a west coaster...)
