Too bad that with your eyes. But the view is good. So you can see if you're dilating eyes.

Sorry to hear about that, and I hope the drops will help...

My mum has had cataract surgery twice, and thinks she needs to do it again; my dad uses the glaucoma drops. I was surprised to learn that I have a cataract beginning in the left eye (I notice it most driving at night, when oncoming headlights really blind me in that eye; I have to close it and go with just the right eye until they're past me!) I don't need surgery on it yet, but I will at some point, they assure me. Mum says it's not a big deal, but I dread it too, something about having them getting close to my open eye scares the jeepers out of me. You're a tough guy, though, I'm sure you'll do just fine and they'll have you out hunting in the forest in no time!

Mike, do not fear the cataract surgery. My vision is much better since I had them both done two years ago.

My wife on the other hand had cataracts removed from both her eyes last year. She said it wasn't bad at all. I suppose it is different for everyone, but all the people I've talked to, and there have been quite a few that I know that have gotten the surgery, all say it is fairly simple! These eye specialist have been doing this kind of thing for quite a few years and I think and hope that they know what they are doing by now. Just make sure you have a good eye doctor.

Yeah, that's something you want to take care of as soon as possible. I had a separated retina in my left eye back in '07. Thanks to a very skilled eye surgeon, I still have better than 90% sight in that eye. I also have a cataract in the right eye - need to get that fixed this summer... I also had a cataract in the left eye after the retina surgery, and had the cataract surgery - it's not that bad, except they had to shine a really bright light right in my eye for the surgery. And you can't squint as the eyelid is held open. Other than that it was painless and done in less than a half hour - and the improvement in vision is amazing.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you can get the surgery as soon as possible. Losing eyesight for an artist is the worst.

Yes, I fully understand your situation. My husband and my mother both had been a "cataract surgery" on both eyes, of course ... And when I had my last multiple sclerosis-thrust, I had the problem that both eyes no longer wanted to work and were constantly trying to get a sharp image ... These eye drops, so that the doctor can examine the eye better, directly from hell ... I never more go on a sunny day to the eye doctor to let me administer such eye drops ...

I'm so sorry, and I wish you all the best! They do miracles in optical surgery today, so take care. I went to the eye doctor a week ago, and I changed glasses. "You're just aging (smile)", he said.

Mike, I saw this when it went up, but I was dealing with a bad arm (from physical therapy) and still fixing my computer. I'm not 'back' yet, but I wanted to give you my best wishes on your eyes; and I too have heard---many times---what your fans have said above; that, if you have to have the surgery, it's routine for almost everyone, and lots of people recover well from it, too. I hope the drops work for you, and I hope you won't need the surgery; but if you do, you'll have plenty of time to prepare, and it should be a lot less difficult than it seems, if so many people I know are indication.

And you don't need to have a reason to complain: You're one of our truly devoted members here, and you're there for a lot of people, all year round: You can complain anytime. As for your image---if you're seeing the world this way, at least after your drops, I hope you get some normality too. The only time I saw like this was after dilation; and every time I was dilated, I thought the universe was coming to an end. It's a trip, that's for sure, but at least, in my case, it was over in a few hours. I do hope it gets better. And btw, I saw your latest upload, and it's terrific. I am sorry to here about your eye Mike. I have a bad left Eye because I had a brain aneurysm (brain blood vein exploded in my brain) and caused some damage to my eye nerves. I had to have open brain surgery to fix the busted vein. So God bless you Mike and I will keep you in my prayers so your eyes get back to normal. And I agree about that surgery stuff is scary.Just remember they have been doing those type of eye surgeries a lot so you will be taken great care of.
