Description
this morning I had another great opportunity to get some great sunrise shots behind Mt.Hood. This time, the clouds are higher, separating the shadow from the mountain.
you are seeing what I saw this morning.

Mike, your photo's are always great fun to see, and these shots (volcano?????) are terrific!
And there are more ice crystals in the upper atmosphere in the morning to make the light more dramatic. Fantastic scene.

First of all, congratulations on the article. Now I can say I know someone famous (OK, SEMI-famous). Second, you did it again! It never occurred to me that a mountain could cast a shadow on the SKY. Another impressive follow up to your stunning shot of Mount Hood.

Congrats Mike. Not only an eye catching photo, it has an amazing story. I not have thought about a mountain casting a shadow like this. I do love it when something like this is posted. While I have lived all over the US, I had not known of this phenomenon. It is great when we can learn more about the nature that surrounds us all.
