They do look beautiful.
What a gorgeous thing it is! It almost looks waxy...
Beautiful and nice to learn something while enjoying the view.
A fascinating organism...
looks like something from a Grade B movie
Wonderful capture
I love the look of this one and what a fabulous clear capture of it.
What a marvelous find. It does look alien. You even caught the little tightrope the travelers use.
beautiful; lichen always fascinates me
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Great closeup.
we had jokes, years ago, about "foliose" (a place where boats come---Port Foliose) (portfolios?) (it was a bad joke)...but that has nothing to do with the shot. You got not only the leafy lettuce textures, and all those 'cups' that one finds in lichens, but a wonderfully moist look throughout. A real eye grabbing capture of one of nature's most exotic growths, and the drippy moist coating almost looks like a glazed dessert.
