Looks like snow! Superb capture, Richard!
Outstanding photo.
boy, it really does defy the camera, doesn't it! It's like it'll let you see its color, but nothing else. You got the strange crystalline protrusions on the edges, but the mass of it is taken-over by white! What a sight. In this closeup, we really see the viscous, clumpy appearance of that white. And we can see its tentacles on the bottom---it sends out feelers. Another striking shot of this bizarre fluffy thing. I'm very happy you posted these, they're a unique treat...
Esthetic capture, Richard !
interesting capture I've never seen anything like this
Agree with Faemike55: interesting capture I've never seen anything like this too

Were getting a light dusting of snow this morning in Halifax. Our first bit of the white stuff....

I've never seen any quite like that.
Interesting fungus... Aloha
(Sings...) "Yeah it's fungle, in the jungle, and it's all white, I see." No... I'm right. Jethro Tull sang it wrong.
nice shot
This is a really great find, Richard! With a little imagination one could imagine an explosion in the snow looking at this...
