Nice!
Great capture!!
wow, andrea, another of your macros that just opens nature up for us. For one thing, that log is so 'different', closeup: The outermost layer is like a big cliff falling down to more cliffs. And the outer rings are like compressed melon-slices. The inner rings are a big abyss, which this bee seems tired even thinking about. And the detail on his "fur" is beautiful. He looks exhausted; but, as you say, maybe he's just drying out. I looked up "bumble" and found it was related to "boom" (the noise); thus he's named for his noise (made by his wings). I don't know why I just told you that, as you probably knew anyway...but I've heard "bumble bee" all my life, and I was getting tired of not knowing why we call it that. Anyway, an amazing macro, and the light in it is stunning.
A most beautiful shot of this little creature. Love the colors. Amazing clarity too :)
An unusual sight this time of year. Here are also relatively mild temperatures for the time. Superb shot!
What is he doing out & about? He is rather handsome.
This is a superb close up. The colors are brilliant and the details are spectacular. You even show us the little talons on the ends of its legs, somethin I've never seen before.
Fabulous capture love the colouration
beautiful capture and colors
What a super closeup of this furry friend; I love his soft-looking coat and shiny eyes. Bees are amazing when you look closely like this!
He's so beautiful and so different from ours! Love it.
Excellent!
