Just for a second I thought the monitor had gone wrong, then I thought no Andrea should go to Specsavers.
impressive and wild Great postwork on this image
I love that you called this "gull". What a great viewpoint for this shot! Yeah, I did preservation work eons ago, and it was really hard to convince people to get landmark status (ie, protecting architecture from the wrecking ball), because it cost money to maintain them; and the cries were, "who's gonna pay us to maintain these???" Legitimate arguments; but, also, landlords tore down masterpieces for sheer greed...But it's a beautiful old turret, and your color manipulation---against a dark maroon sky---brings out it's electricity. (In Chicago people actually paint these houses this way. It's eye popping.) Love the street lamp shooting out on the right; and the lone gull atop---so important, he got an upload named after him. And btw, the flickr version is riotous---a fine manipulation, and with that "Pizza Hut" sign? What a juxtaposition! I love them both. And I can picture the gull shouting, "ok, this is the right angle, capture me like this...(whispering) it's for my family..."
With the right background, this could make a very exciting painting, Couldnt it? I like this alot.
Fine work
It seems that the gull is crying ;) Maybe he is calling his friends. Very nice work Andrea.
Wow, I want some of whatever you're having; this is psychedelic indeed, my friend! Stunning bit of imagery!
Love the B/W its like a drawing. Great images. x
Super FX Andrea :)
Cool shot and postwork. The gull on the top of the roof is the icing on the cake

My first thought when seeing this. A brilliant manipulation. I like the iridescent colors and the gull is obviously playing at being a weathervane. The flikcr image looks like a fine pencil drawing.
wonderful mood and colors
interesting postwork.
Superb capture and post work Andrea. God bless.
Wow we don't see these in our neck of the woods.
Amazing colors in this and the b/w really looks like a drawing, well done.
