Description
A few weeks ago I saw this little Day-Peacock-eye on my musquito net in my bedroom. (well its about time to remove that net :-P) And I took some shots of course. This was the best I could get against the light using flash. Then I had to set it free, even though it was cold outside. It seemed to get a shock, as it hurried to the stone fence to hide from cold.
Have a great weekend. We had bad and windy weather this morning, but now the sun is shining and the wind less hard. :-)

Marvelous coloors and very beautiful shot !!! Beautiful butterfly also !
Glad to get the e-bots back for galleries! This is lovely. I'm glad it wasn't a "specimen" pinned to a board.
Under the circumstances I think you got a lovely shot.
wow, great detail and hues on this, Helle, and the mosquito netting makes a great backdrop. Your intense light on the top is wonderful...the furry texture of the moth is even more intense in that lighting. And I love that you just gave us the moth and the lighting. You know, it's been a while since you posted lots of insect shots (and spiders too): You used to post them all the time, and they were revelations. This is marvelous. It almost looks like it was made of fabric. Fine work with light and background, and the highlights on its wings are terrific...
(I had to look up "tulle": It's the same in English as it is in Danish. It's named after the town in France where the fabric was made.) (Aren't you glad I told you that piece of information? Are you dying to just run out and tell all your neighbors?)
WOW!!!!!!!!!What a beauty!!!!!!!!!Bravissima!V:DDD.Hugsxx Whylma
Wonderful capture! :-)
Wonderful capture,excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Superb capture Helle. God bless.
What a pretty little creature; I hope it survived its return to the outdoor environment. Beautiful shot too!
beautiful butterfly moth.
It is amazing to see such a beautiful little creature and DOUBLY so to find it in your bedroom! Lucky find and great shot, Helle!
Yes, I never found anything like that in my bedroom! Gorgeous colors, lighting, textures and markings in this capture of the winged insect, Helle. I didn't know you used mosquito netting in Denmark. We used mosquito netting around our cots when I was in the Army in the Philippines. A sunny and dry 26.7-Celsius here this weekend.
Well, Harry. This one is homemade, because I get the warm sun right on my room in the warm summer afternoon, so the room is sometimes very warm in the evenings. So you see, I must pay for my great view. Cant take the warmth, so Per made me a mosquitonet, so I can have one of my windows open. :)
A very beautiful clear capture of this lovely butterfly Halle, and thank you for your visit to my posting, much appreciated.
A pretty peacock! I sometimes find them hibernating in the greenhouse or even in my bedroom curtains, which I only rarely close.
