Yeah, hope springs eternal. Nice thoughtful piece.
All the little decisions we make start things in motion that spread out to form our future - and that of others. If I hadn't taken my sister to meet her boyfriend and then rode around with a girlfriend so she could follow a boy she liked to visit his sick sister at the hospital and try to make points with his Mother leaving him and me to talk, I wouldn't have spent 45 years with him and our daughters and grandchildren would be different people - or not exist.
