well I like them equally much (re andrea), but I can understand why she and others might like this best. The closer view lets us sink into a niche. (Quite a niche, I realize, but it's a niche compared to the whole place.) The reflections in the glass are wonderful---assuming that's not another room, distorted by the glass. And lots of shade makes this feel intimate---and I mean that's one of the wonders of architectural design, it creates lots of canyons, recesses, ravines, etc. The two angels are shadowed with some mystery, and that top arch makes itself the 'center' of the shot. A well lit and well shadowed shot, with more of your buttery light, and lots of mystery to boot...it's alive.
What a beautiful room! I liked seeing the entire thing, then something closer in, and then this one closer yet. A fascinating series of shots!
