Very interesting shot of something not often seen. We saw a purple one on a Galveston beach once and my husband warned me not to touch it. Is it the same with the species of jellyfish you have...never touch?
I grew up near the beach, and as a child I was stung by jellyfish several different times. They are beautiful creatures, but not to my liking.
wow, I didn't even know you had jellyfish there...I know they're in the ocean, but I didn't know they came up to your shores. They're so primal, like something from the primal ooze. I know nothing of biological time lines, but this looks like a throwback to the very early days of life. And in your shot, it's like a blob that was exhausted, thrown ashore, and hiding in the sand to get back its equilibrium...I love the sand in your shot, and how the fish just burrows into it. And, in zoom, I can see its textures underneath. Quite a capture, a sensual primal thing. And I don't remember seeing one like this in your gallery before...
A beautiful 'grainy' picture Andrea !!!
I know what you mean. Hate seeing the jellyfish on our beach.
Poor thing. They don't do well in rough seas. It looks unreal like an alabaster carving.
I've never seen one quite like this - it looks like it could be an alien form of life. Great find & capture...
Wonderful capture!
Stunning capture Andrea. God bless.
cool shot
Se promener sur la plage, une "bouteille à la mer" qui s'y dépose !
Very impressive photo's Andrea.
