Or at least I think it's a bench, captured 4/12/15 @ 12:37 pm, at the beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful La Canada/Flintridge, California.
Most unique. The handsome wooden top, supported by a pair of square wire cages, filled with stones.

Unusual base for such a nice made bench. Well spotted and captured Harry. I wouldn't mind something like this in my yard.
After the intense previous images, this is more classic and gentle. Your composition is most appealing, almost Japanese in nature. And the bench---with those fascinating rock filled baskets underneath (!!!)---is a peaceful thing in the middle of it all. I love your pov, the curve of the walkway, the stones in the background, the lines of the garden behind, etc. Really does have a Japanese rock garden feel. Just lovely. Very finessed and lovely!
We have a lot of imprisoned stones around here holding up mounds of soil off the roadways...I always wonder what their crime was, to cause them to be locked up forever. Strange find and great shot!
