Description
Possibly the shortest bridge in the world, spanning a narrow gully, captured 4/12/15 @ 10:44 am, at the beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful La Canada/Flintridge, California.

Excellent view of this sturdy and elegantly-designed bridge over the gully; something about bridges gives me a little tingle of excitement, I think it's left over from childhood fairy tales of trolls under bridges and water sprites.

Zoom's a must...lots of fine textures. And yeah, it may just be the shortest bridge in the world! But it's delightful in its own way. And your shot moves from strong late morning light into deep shadows. And a delightful path behind. This does have a "dry" look---I assume from the huge drought out there---but it's still bright and green. A very charmed shot of a little bridge surrounded by lovely shaded nature, with very sweet light and shade throughout...
