And here's the colored pencil version. I just copied the line art from the B&W version, and played around with a bit of layering colors with Prismacolor pencils.

This too is a top class portrait but my preference is the B&W version.
Both versions are tremendous my friend. I love the b&w version best.
The 3-click view shows the gradations of your pencil work, as well as how it picks up the paper grain. (I hope people zoom, because it's much more active in full view.) I like them both equally, and if you'd only posted this, I wouldn't have even imagined her in black and white. But I must say---having started as a pencil and ink artist---that the black and white has a special place for me, because it gets at 'essences'. But your color version has a whole other life. I think she's less melancholy here, but more dramatic. Your facial shading is more dramatic in those red-tinged flesh tone, you've used purples around the eyes, her green irises make a striking contrast, etc. Her shirt is heavier in feel, and more sustantial, and fits the strength of her face and hair. (If you'd left the shirt as delicate as it is in the black and white version, it would've been overshadowed by her face.) And you've given her hair a new life---the white highlights are now a rich yellow. It's just a different portrait, and you show a naturalness with colored pencils. (I have appr 2 billion Prismacolors here---I love them. And btw, they breed. They mate. I started with about 100...) A different portrait, but just as fine: The other is subtler, more delicate, while this is more dramatic, 'in our faces'. Wonderful work, and it's great that you've shared these with your fans. Another 10+ both images have their points and therefore very hard to say which is better I like them both
