Description
Yes, the family that digs together, sticks together.
More from my once hidden and/or neglected fun and imaginative period of Bryce and Poser work - my anything goes salad days from 2002 through 2006 - now on display. So, here's a just-fooling-around exercise in the world of the macabre, this one created 2/16/03. Gotta have fun sometime.
This handsome group planned to use a skeleton as part of their Halloween lawn display, but instead of purchasing a fake cardboard or plastic one from the store, they decided to ghoulishly dig up a real one from a local haunted patch of woods not far from home. There's nothing like the real thing. And if you're wondering why this is such a disparate looking group, just remember that The Munsters were a disparate bunch of characters themselves.
Definitely ZOOM worthy.

I can see Halloween is preying on your mind...cool and very fanciful work, Harry!
Amazing and fantastic creation/composition... WOnderfully done my friend !
AAHHH! I thought they were robbing a graveyard. Addams Family ? :-P Great piece of art Harry :-)
Actually, they were robbing a graveyard of a sort. And the Addams family wasn't as mixed as The Munsters.
yes---ala your comment above---the Addams were a pretty homogenous bunch. This is a diverse bunch---and they look like a lotta laughs: the kind of people you'd love to visit---once. (This array reminds me of the classic "Old Dark House" film, with a bunch you wouldn't wanna visit twice.) Another of your wonderfully creative, wry, humorous, graphically vivid, clear and wild multi media pieces. And another piece where the characters are either facing us, or coming at us. (Here's they're facing us, but I don't think I'd wanna wait to see if they "stay" there.) Wonderful characterizations, with a kid in the back who does not have good thoughts. And the skeleton---a great twist to have the head removed. Angle-wise, it's got your usual compositional counterpoint: The people are all facing front frame, but the grave, skeleton and rake all play against it. And there's light coming from the grave---nice touch! With bold blue trees---more of your model-ish hues and shapes. (Model-ish, as in 3D models.) And such a bright hue throughout: The bright green ground, the blazing whites and blues in the sky...Terrific, Harry. Fun but also beautifully conceived. And perfect for Halloween.
