Description
These are the last of my photos of the construction of Revell's model of the Nashorn German tank destroyer.
In the upper photo the right side and rear of the fighting compartment are glued in place. The gun metal things on the back plate are sub-machine guns for close in defensive firing.
The front plates have been glued together and spare track has been glued to the lower front plate.
The silver grey object on the mud guard is a winch for repairing damaged wheels and track.
The lower photo shows the gun mount in place (but not yet glued), illustrating how far the gun protruded into the fighting compartment. Then add to this the distance of the recoil. This makes for little room for the crew to move about.
These are the last of my construction photos.
Hope you've enjoyed this mini-series!

Very 50 years ago when I was a lad I used build a lot of 1/25 & 1/24 plastic scale car model kits and I kindly recall Revell, Monogram, AMT, JoHan, MPC, etc.... Nice model...
