Description
Captured back on 5/12/10, at beautiful Legg Lake in the beautiful Whittier Narrows Recreation Area, in not-so-beautiful South El Monte, California.
I assume the park management felt that this was such a spectacular addition with its raw ambiance that there was no need to remove it from the scene. I wonder if it's still there.

Good shot. Why is South El Monte not so beautiful? I thought all California is a dream. (Sorry, I never visited the south of the USA)
Much of South El Monte is loaded with small industries, dingy narrow streets, looks very old and like a third world country.
It seems to fit quite well, and I'm sure the fish and birds like it, so why bother taking it out? Beautiful capture of this lake feature!
