Description
Captured back on 3/25/09, early am, somewhere around the neighborhood.
Cosmos is native to scrub and meadowland in Mexico where most of the species occur, as well as the United States, as far north as the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, Central America, and to South America as far south as Paraguay. One species, C. bipinnatus, is naturalized across much of the eastern United States and eastern Canada. It is also widespread over the high eastern plains of South Africa, where it was introduced via contaminated horsefeed imported from Argentina during the Anglo-Boer War.

WOW! I so love these flowers, because when I see this shot, it gives me memories from my early school days. Every child who wanted it, could have a little piece of garden near the school. And in my garden, I grew these flowers by seed. Also veggies and such. Since then I have loved thede graceful flowers and the colors. Thank you for bringing back these sweet memories, Harry :) Wonderful shot, BTW :)
