Instead of offering these as a 2-for-1 special, if you put this in a museum, it would be worth a lot more money. I remember the original of these things, and loved the feel of them (in your shot). But here, they're all striking edge and glow and eerie presence; and your deep green-brown backing makes them flat against a surface, and it's like a modernist abstraction of gear, almost with a face on it. Edge work, or whatever you've done to this, can result in fairly common, even boring results; but this is masterfully done, and the glow (esp with the blues and violets and bright edges) make it a luminous abstract. Love it. More terrific transformation from you, Mike.
I hope it comes with a "special recipes for cooking ghosts" booklet
