Description
A patrol of Polikarpov P0-2 biplanes piloted by the famous "Nachthexen" or "Night witches" of the Soviet Air Force. I really like this model and even though I did something a bit like it before, I like this one a lot. I liberally used alpha plane trees for the forest, and I'm pretty pleased with the result. (I'm not much in a writing mood, so this is more than a bit short on the particulars and history.)
Polikarpov Po-2: Excellent model crafted by Pedro Caparros, available generously for free at Sharecg. . Just a bit of texture weathering and adjusting to taste down in the workshop.
Pilots: V4 with ADH3D's USAAF pilot pack available here on Renderosity

nice group of planes over a splenidi looking backdrop
Impressive work with the forest. I like.
Thanks for the mention.
Nice job on this one!!!!!
Great image....alpha planes can be a bit 'hit or miss' but you seem to have it down pat. There's one of these PO-2's in the Shuttleworth collection, while Rob and I were there I bought a scrap of the fabric covering they'd used in the restoration.( just a bit of useless information.)
