Description
This old roller was made here in my home town of Chard in Somerset. It is no longer what it's cracked up to be !!
Thought Tara might like this one.

look like gardeners tool, like old rusty things
Very interesting capture!
Nice closeup of this roller and its inner workings.
Very good pic Jeff, and many thanks
I remember something similar to this from my childhood used to flatten the earth prior to planting grass or laying down concrete. Nice capture. Good to see your still hanging in there. Something about that famous British resolve I guess.
seen plenty of active service
Well, I know that I like it. A wonderful rusty thing and a mighty fine shot.
We had one that was full of concrete to make it heavier.I think it was for tennis courts.
roll on dude! definitely a pressing matter jeff
You're right, Tara LOVES this! :) It jumped right off the page at me. Fantastic image! The light and shadow are particularly satisfying.
