Description
Laces and all.
Captured 7/14/15 @ 8:12 am, in one of the alleys that help comprise the city.
Actually, other than some dirt, dust and cobwebs, it looks in pretty good shape. Its mate was nowhere to be seen.
Have a sterling day.

Super shots of this mysterious anomaly, Harry. I have to say I have never, in all my life, lost just one shoe. I've never lost two shoes, for that matter! How does this happen to an adult-sized person?
So many amazing scenarios as to what happened to that lone shoe and how it lost it's life long partner!!! I say.... it jumped from a gym bag to get away from it's nagging partner only to become a home for a wayward spider!! The End Excellent Capture!!!
Poor old shoe, trying to push itself away from the street buy the two ends of the shoelace. :-P
I'm still skipping, but I had to comment on this before I actually get to it, in chronological order. A splendid pair of shots. Boy it's the right setting too. I don't know if this is where you found it, or if you moved it to this ground, but it's perfect for the shoe. The shoe---you're right---isn't in very bad shape. A little worn, but perfectly wearable. But what a wonderful pair of shoe shots---with the detail of the dust and webs (I assume those are cobwebs). And the still vivid orange yellow. And those laces coming down like a Fu Manchu mustache. And then the background: A very rocky wonderfully textured stone walkway of some kind. Perfect for the shoe. Lots of fine detail on it too. And you composed these with equal space on each side, and with the same angles, only one shoe goes one way, the other goes the other. Formally and feel-wise, a wonderful pair of shots. You deserved a lot more than 3 comments, but this type of subject material will never compete with flowers and sunsets, unfortunately. Terrific work, Harry; I love it.
