Description
Resuming my trawl through Daz's earlier figures (which I am enjoying immensely!), along came Aiko3! I'm not personally much of a fan of Manga/Anime style, but there were some nice clothes available for her, so I got her and made my own character, that really looked nothing like the normal Aiko's.
Here I loaded the Poser scene that I did around 9 years ago into Carrara, tweaked a little and then rendered in Octane for Carrara, no change of character or pose. Although the original render in Poser I think looks good for the time, the latest one looks so much more realistic! I hope you enjoy the comparison.

Just goes to show that even older Poser figures still have a lot of life in them if you are willing to put the effort into them. I still use Aiko3 from time to time, too, but I have never gotten such realistic results as you.

I'm not a fan of Aiko either. Once again, you've worked your magic though.
Another proof that Gen3/Gen4 characters look and pose very good! The problem is with the renderer, not the texture resolutions! The 2006 Poser render looks a little bit lifeless, although still very good! The Octane render is excellent and is bringing-out the skin details very nicely! Add to this the fact V3/A3 morphs can be easily created with only a few turns of a dial, and you see that these characters still offer a great value, not outdated at all, afaiac!

Yes probably, but I would be loathe to go back as I feel so comfortable using Carrara these days!
