Description

I am truly saddened. My favorite bass player from one of my favorite bands has passed. Chris Squire of Yes lost his battle to leukemia on June 27, 2015 at only 67. He and Jon Anderson were co-founders of YES and Chris is the only member to have been on every record or CD. An amazing bass player, song writer and great singer. As Rick Wakeman said, "There can hardly be a bass player worth his salt who hasn’t been influenced by... [Chris]". I know he had years left in him for creating music and I lament we will not know what that could have been, but he has gone to see mountains come out of the sky and has gone beyond the edge. In a fragile world life can suddenly see changes, but I hope to meet him some day on Topographic Oceans. Peace.

Very nice words for one the most influential bass players of our time. I saw Yes at my first concert, they we're the middle band opening up for Ten Tears After (my brothers girlfriend got sick so I got to go, man was I lucky) I saw Yes many times after that, A GREAT BAND!! Chris You will be missed RIP.

A great band that I listened to often back in the day! The album art by Roger Dean was also a big influence on me... :) Another fine musician who will be missed.

Wow - a major loss for the music scene - I still love Yes's music... Sadly these old rockers are getting to that age, but 67 is still too young. I'm almost there, myself. The Stones were here at Arrowhead Stadium just last week - I didn't go, but it's still good to see Jagger & crew rockin' on.
