Description

The hotel grounds were patrolled everyday with hawks or eagles to scare away the gulls. If you have ever tried to sleep in a seaside town you will know Gulls wake up very early! They also like to wake the dead with their piercing calls! These guys ensure the guests don't get up too early unless they want to! This falconer looked such a character I wanted to chat about his eagle but he didn't understand english I'm sorry to say.

Wow, he looks fierce with that headgear (the eagle, not the falconer). I just saw Mad Max: Fury Road yesterday & this bird of prey would have fit right in with the scary dudes in the movie...

A shame about the language barrier. Unusual to meet a foreigner as lazy as we are about learning others languages! A super character study.

Great shot Kevin. Our town is twelve miles inland and we are plagued with them.

Awesome! One can really appreciate how large they are, how majestic and noble with a human there for scale. Great shot.
