Description
Most unique, what with its see-through hood/bonnet.
Captured back on 10/19/08, at a car show held at beautiful Santa Anita Park in beautiful Arcadia, California.
Have a cooler day, literally, than what I am experiencing.

Fabulous car !!!!!
Harry, this one is almost too cool. I've never seen any car setup so you can see the engine like this.
Very Cool!!!
I love this old car... Marvelous capture once again !!!
What beautiful lines this baby has; I really miss this style of auto. Fantastic shiny captures, Harry!
what a splendid customized Oldsmobile ! what a beauty with this original look !!! splendid capture !!!
Now never seen that before, that's for sure.. Looking quite stunning there glinting in the sun, great shot Rob
back for another session, and picking up where I left off (plunging into more of your amazing car posts of late)...I've never ever seen a hood like this, didn't even know they made them. I wonder what they were thinking by putting 2 windows in the hood! I know it's a great design concept---it links it with some airplane cockpits---but I wonder if it's practical---I suppose that glass can endure as well as the metal....Anyway, that last shot is like a big abstract piece of art, with the pieces of engine inside, all distorted by the glass and reflections, with the dust, and the sweep of the chrome---and the lines of the railing behind, and that yellow car. (The same one we viewed, a few uploads ago?) Love the linear collisions and sweeps. In the first shot, however, we see another of your classic car captures, this one with lots of flare, beautifully contained so the flares are like lights built right into the chrome. A wonderful angle for the sweep of the car and its sheen. And a softened enough background that it doesn't interfere. A glittering, fine capture of another exotic beast. And is that you all scrunched up in a reflection, in shot number 2? Whoever it is, that guy's gonna need a chiropractor when he gets home! Another fine addition to this recent spate of beautiful old cars.
