The flower and developing bud for comparison!
When a plant takes 3 years to flower from seed it is not mentioned on the packet in big letters. I bought a pack of 6 seeds for 99p in an end of line sale from thompsons in 2011. Last year I got some flowers on a few of the plants, this year they are all growing crazy. They die back in late summer making a bigger and bigger tuber. All the tubers seem to be in an oddlegged "V" shape like a finger and thumb. So this the 4th year I had pots of them all over my greenhouse. For some reason I have a lot of happy gardening friends who have helped me out giving them homes!
