Hello Rendosians,
Today I share with you a picture from a beautiful town of my country : Chartres.
Chartres is famous for its marvellous cathedral with splendid stained glasses. This cathedral has the particularity to have a wall all around the choir. Every part of the wall is sculpted with scenes from the Holy Bible. I marvelled at the work of these craftmen from the Middle Ages !

Que dire, devant les heures de travail et la maîtrise du geste de nos ancêtres qui ont sans relâche mis leur vie au service du religieux et de leur savoir-faire professionnel pour que, des centaines d'années après, nous puissions admirer ce qu'ils ont fait. Une belle lumière douce pour cette photo bien équilibrée et superbe ! Chapeau l'artiste !
Je suis toujours impressionné par ces dentelles de pierre ! Quelle dextérité ! Quel art ! Peu importe le but initial nous touchons là au sublime de l'Homme et peut-être à son sens suprême: celui de créer ce que la nature ne peut pas créer toute seule ! Merci de nous faire partager ce moment !!
Ces scènes sont d'une beauté confondante. Et les maîtres sculpteurs étaient quasi anonymes.
