Description
It's Mr Echidna! Echidnas are the oldest surviving mammals on the planet today. They are super friendly, and this one even let us pat it. It's safe, providing that your hand travels the correct way along the spines! NEVER go back the other way!

Cute !!!
Cute little fellow. But someone I'd NOT want to step on, even with shoes on! So watch your step. Friendly, yes, because none dare to attack this little "cactus" of a fellow. So he can afford to be friendly. Same goes for hedge hogs. Do you have more photos of him? If so, please post! :-)
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
What a very cool looking creature.
Ah,ah, very well done. Looks like a cartoon guy.
Looks like an echidna in an enigma !! Excellent capture.

I'm in love!
Lovely little fella!
How cool is that?! To see and be able to pet an animal we only read about in books or see on tv. Awesome!
until today, I never knew about these cute creatures thanks for sharing, and like T.Rex said, if you have more photos, please post
