to watch the power of nature is gorgeous and always a wonder what one can see in your powerful painting! playful and one can imagine how they prais the lord for his gifts! ;o)
I was sorry to see that, out of 42 comments, only 4 people zoomed. Obviously we can't see your painting the way it looks in person; but by zooming we gcan see a better version of what you painted than the non-zoomed version. But people love this, regardless, and for good reason. This is so vivid: Your reds in that car are actually crimsons, which suit the devotion of the two people perfectly. (Crimson being the color of blood.) The orange of the woman's dress and hair are wonderful contrasts. You use blacks so powerfully in your paintings---and this painting is a perfect example. And that ground---it's awash in deep saturated blues and reds. It's marvelous. To the left, rain; then a big rainbow, and that big stormy sky. It almost looks like a scene from the story of Noah. Wonderful capture of the blazing hot feeling of devotion; and you captured it all in a "moment"---like these two people were just going about their business, when they suddenly discovered a much higher revelation. And your colors are just terrific. Another gem from you, Jock.
