Description

Everyone... RR has been doing maintenance the last few days, and many times I've logged on, my efforts have been frozen, stalled, or lost. I made a bunch of comments yesterday, but today, the site froze constantly. So please know that I'd intended to get to all of you, and I will this weekend. In the meantime, another shot. It's ok if you don't comment, I just hope you enjoy. And I'm gonna be a pain in the neck and say, again, it's 'large' (I say it alot, I know), but it's only to say you'll see more, full size. But please enjoy, either way! Take care, and a fine weekend to all, Mark

Mark, this is one amazing shot that you should be proud of. The clouds do tend to create a bit of a "Moody Atmosphere" but the lighting for the photo give it an almost tranquil feel. My favorite part about this image is the wonderfully detailed silhouettes of the Standup Paddle Boarders.

I love how detailed the silhouettes are against the incredibly smooth water. The clouds are frosting on the cake, uh, atmosphere, that's right! A deceptively simple and elegant image, Mark, and very well done!

Fine blending of varied colored mood striations in this dour image of your Lake Michigan in a pissy mood, Mark. And, as you promised, the zoom was huge. This is a perfect time for the ghosts of seamen, who went down with their boats/ships eons ago, to emerge from this spooky aura and saunter up shore for some contact with the living.

I love this, especially the paddle boarders. My son's into this sport and it looks like so much fun. But beyond that, wow, your lake's got some mood goin here. And that black cloud overhead---yikes---it looks SO scary. Great shot!!!

Looking at this picture, at first you feel the beauty of the scene for itself, then you feel that there is something of more important. The solitude of the infinite universe, or the smug presence of another microscopic human . Maybe the boundless breadth of our feelings is well represented here. Congratulations for the beautiful work !!!!!!

I intended to join a class to do this last summer, but chickened out when I thought about the possibility of falling and breaking something. I have no fear of the water and good balance but I do have pre- osteoporosis so not worth the risk. A lovely photo.

Love the warm-cold gradient with the vivid colors of a late afternoon. The tiny figures on the boat highlight the huge dimensions of the volume they move through. Excellent image, Mark!

A very grand capture and contrast of man and nature. Though humans are no contest against the massive power of nature, it is interesting how one person, if their spirit is big enough, can impact the world.
