Wow... that's great!... not the fighting though...
Great atmosphere!
Outstanding scene and fabulous creation/composition my friend !!!
Beautiful image and mood. Corrie
Superbly done. I like the use of DOF here, it adds to the uncertainty of the outcome of the battle.
Excellent scene. I like the light! Very well done!
Fantastic work! Really nice lighting, and use of DOF.
Thanks everyone for the welcome comments.
you've taken a fierce and fiery battlefield, and turned it into a dream, as if war itself dissolves into a dream, eventually swept away by history and the light of the sun...But it also feels like the moment right before a terrible battle, where the whole world seems to be waiting, suspended in time. There's an eerie stillness to it. And the ground almost looks like a quiet sea of lava...Very well done and conceived. And I didn't know the history, or that the Italians won against such odds.
Thanks anahata. In fact I tried to recreate the unreal stillness, the silence, the latent tension, all that surreal atmosphere that precedes certain fatal clashes and I'm glad that you have seen!
outstanding composition of the scene and lighting
Many thanks Richarphotos
Very good scene and work!!!
Thank you rbowen.
I love your art!
Very much appreciated, my friend!
Can't bear to imagine what comes next. Never liked war stories... :(
Taken by itself, though, this is a lovely render. Superb lighting (very moody) and sense of depth, and real good texturing on the ground as well. Good work!
