Dead envious, I saw two of these last Sunday at my local park, and couldn't get a capture. Nice one Andrea!
Nice capture with that bug.
Wonderful shot here.... I just love beeflies!
Great shot!
Getting well stuck in there :o))) Lovely capture.
I shot a pic of one of these in Kentucky, and posted it in my gallery April 4, 2010. Usually I see differences between the American and U.K. versions of the same critter, but these seem to be identical. I usually saw them on wild primrose, but that shot was on a peach blossom. Maybe they will service any flower that starts with a "P"?
Great catch of little fellow diving into his lunch bucket !
Lovely capture of the beefly on the primula. :-)
Brilliant capture
you captured its special wing-details superbly
Yes, that is its job and it makes a good job. A fantastic capture.
Reminds me of a brown potato with wings. Outstanding shot.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Stunning!
Marvelous capture, simply awesome!
a very moody shot, I don't mean "bad mood" or "dark mood," but "dreamy mood". You softened it somehow, and toned down the hues, and made it feel as green as it is yellow. And the result is, it feels like a bee's dream. The flower hues are beautiful, and the textures of the adjoining leaves make fine contrast. And the bee is utterly immersed. (Maybe it's not gathering pollen: Maybe it's shouting to an insect friend to come out and play.) Beautiful dreamy capture, with fine postwork, Andrea.
A delightful photo of this Beefly and imagine that I had never heard or seen one before you introduced us about a month ago. :o)
