Description


Imported from Japan, as nearly as can be identified, this woody vine is said to climb 20 meters. A previous photo of vines going up about 30 meters in the pines indicates a much greater potential... They smell nice also :)

they are beautiful however. I imagine they do the host tree no good. very good capture

Refer to a couple of the earlier shots, "Beyond Passion" is a wisteria root system which is part of the cluster that has climbed to the tops of nearby pine trees, guessing about 100+ feet into the air. They don't seem to be "harming" the trees, but must weigh a ton and have sent other runners under pine straw droppings at least 50 yards from the source... very invasive and dominant if not restrained somewhat.
