Description
Captured 4/4/15 @ 7:56 am, about a mile or so from home.
Officially, the front of the Los Angeles County Southeast District Superior Courts building. Besides having served about four jury duty sessions there over the years, I've also made use of their law library on occasion. The local public library uses a similar motif in its design.
ZOOM for much better detail.

Nice building, good you've found use of it without being taken in by the back door in 'cuffs' :-) ( I hate jury service )
Fantastic architecture my friend... very great shot also !!!
That looks to be a very large building. You caught it quite wonderfully. That's impressive detailing on the entrance.
Interesting architecture - those interlocking rectangles would probably make an interesting abstract all on their own...
I like that cool square metal design they put over the glass; it's a neat abstract. Excellent capture, Harry!
This looks like a really tough place to photograph. Not because of your photo---which is bracing and almost breathtaking---but because of the layout and the many patterns. I just get a feeling I'd struggle to get a good shot of a place like this...In any case, I do remember this upload, and I'm sorry it's one of the shots I didn't comment on. I remember being impressed by how much of the entrance you caught in one shot. The imposing thing is the high abstract design, and the encasing marble pillars and walls. It feels looming, in your photo. You gave us one section head on, and then lets us see the others with angles and perspective. A sweeping view, and with real clarity; and you caught the near 8 a.m. light in the reflections---gold but clearly solid morning (not dawn). It's nice that you included the designs in the wall around and above the doors, because they echo the designs in the entryway. (Imagine what medieval people would've thought to enter a church with this design above the doors...) A dramatic shot with real depth; and reflections to give us not just the city, but its light. Nice to have the closeups (from yesterday) for comparison too.
