Description

"Sea Leach" photo taken in the Oklahoma Aquarium, Tulsa, OK. I don't know what the real name of this creature might be, but it somewhat reminded me of a pond leach found in freshwater streams and ponds in the Central US. this one is much more colorful and textured than the local leaches. Per GrandmaT, this may be a California sea cucumber.

If my research is correct, this is a California sea cucumber. Whatever it is it does look like something I would avoid picking up. Marvelous photo!

I use to get leaches on my ankles when swimming in a creek. I was fortunate to remove them before they really drew blood. great capture
