just finish this. acrylic painting . This was at a Cajun jam in a coffee shop in Breaux Bridge a few years ago.

Gosh, Jock, it's been entirely too long since I've last commented in your gallery. I didn't realize it's been so many weeks. I'm sorry---just know that I think you're one of our very best artists, and I see everything you post. It's time, however, to share some thoughts about them... This is another painting of yours that I loved, the minute you posted it. You used such saturated deep blues. There are beautiful 'lights' in those blues (esp in the woman's dress). The man's jeans positively shine. They seem to have light 'within' them. The woman's boots are wonderfully "fluid," and your floor---what a wonderful criss-cross of deep autumn hues, I love the deep reds and oranges against those blues and other colors. A great floor. The green of the wall behind the dancers---a wonderful saturated lime-green. It shines! And the door's blues are so open and clear. And you used rainbow colors in your wall. And on top of all that, you tilted the whole scene: It gives such dramatic tension to your painting, and real vital life. This is wonderful. I agree with Andrea, it's absolutely brilliant. You paint like you have a sun inside of you, and it beams out of your pores. I love this painting.
